The finished harp will have the following dimensions:

  • Forepost length – 92cm
  • Height at shoulder – 84cm
  • Depth – 60cm
  • Soundbox – length 75cm, width 17cm, depth 7cm
  • Weight when built – 4kg

All the wood is CNC cut from 24mm and 12 mm birch plywood, with 3mm aircraft birch plywood for the soundboard and back. The kit comes flat packed, and not only will you end up with a proper musical instrument, you will have had the satisfaction of having made it yourself!

The kit contains all the parts required to build your own 26 string Celtic harp.

  • Screws and dowels
  • Glue
  • Tuning key

Once built, you chose the finish, i.e. paint/lacquer.

The harp will take approximately two days to build including the glue drying time, after that just keep it in tune for a week or two until the harp and the strings ‘settle’ and hold tune.
